Top 12 Weird Unknown Scholarships

College education requires funding from various sources, since personal sources of finance alone is not sufficient to meet the rising cost of education. Given below are the top 12 weird unknown scholarships.

1- Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Scholarship

All you need to know is how to call ducks. Get down to Stuttgart, Arkansas to compete and win prize money of $1,500 for college.

2- Billy Barty Foundation Scholarship for Dwarfism

It is weird in the real sense that those who are less than 4 ft 10″ qualify for $1,000 scholarship with a medical certificate for dwarfism.

3- Tall Clubs International Student Scholarship

May be I should call it a reverse scholarship in the sense men who over 6′2″ and women more than 5′10″ tall qualify for a $1,000 scholarship.

4- Left Handed Students

Are you a student of Juniata College in Huntingdon and are you a left hander, Congratulations! You qualify for a scholarship to fund your college education.

5- The Patrick Kerr Skateboard Scholarship

Any high school senior skate boarder with a GPA of 2.5 and serious of about attending college can apply for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

6- Carnegie Mellon University Bagpipe Scholarship

Literally one of its kinds the Carnegie Mellon University awards $7,000 to one applicant every year to study bagpipe.

7- The Klingon Language Institute Kor Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is based on an alien race from Star Trek. All that is required is that you should be a graduate enrolled for a language and linguistics course in an accredited institution.

8- Michigan Llama Association Scholarship

Are you studying vetenary medicine in the Michigan State University? Are you interested in studying and working with Lamas, here get a scholarship for $500.

9- Duct Tape “Stuck at Prom” Scholarship Contest

You and your date should participate in a high school prom with attire made out of duct tape.

10- Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation Scholarship

A scholarship of $5,000 is awarded to a student who is interested in studying Vacuum Coaters Technology.

11- Excellence in Predicting the Future Award

A scholarship of $400 is awarded every two months to those who can predict the ‘buy and sell’ in stocks.

12- Starfleet Academy Scholarships

These scholarships are named after actors or characters in television series.
