Hey friends, what’s up, how is life going on? I had been edgy for some unknown reason, so to cheer myself up I thought of doing something real different this time for Student Loan Blog. Colleges, students, campus life, dorms….ideas kept popping in then I thought of ‘Mascots’, yes it has to be something about them!!

It is common for colleges to have an animal or bird or some weird creature representing them as their lucky mascot. Yeah the same funny creature that makes appearances in college games and other festivities, we love to adore. But I have made a list of Lamest College Mascots which has actually made us go crazy and scratch our heads. Check out Top 8 Lamest College Mascots list, feel free to rearrange them or add more to this list

Georgia Tech – Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech’s Yellow Jacket is one of the worst ever mascots seen. With no stinger, it is absolutely non threatening and even disproportionate. This mascot is wearing tights and on the whole looks yucky!!

Wichita State University – Wushock

Georgia Tech’s Yellow Jacket is one of the worst ever mascots seen. With no stinger, it is absolutely non threatening and even disproportionate. This ‘Shockers’ is the name of Wichita State University’s student body and basketball team. During the early days students use to shock or harvest the wheat fields. Wushock earned a bad name for acting as a blind referee in one of the basketball matches. God save us from weird faces.

Ohio State – Buckeye

Buckeye? For God’s sake tell us what it is? It was Wikipedia and not the priest from Ohio told us that it is a nut from Ohio’s official tree the buckeye. Probably the best way is to fight the opponent is by feeding him lots of Buckeye nuts.

Providence College –Friar

Providence is Rhode Island’s private catholic college. Accordingly they have chosen Friar to be their lucky mascot. Students of Providence are often referred to as fanatic friars.

Stanford University – Cardinal

To know what Stanford University lucky mascot is let us go on elimination round. If you think it is a tree, I am sorry it is not. Though initially they it represented a tree in a couple of matches, later it meant some thing else. If you think it is a bird, for it to make some sense, sorry again! It is not even a bird. One of the weirdest I should say, it is a color by name deep crimson. For all what Stanford is all about, I would seriously say they could have thought of something sensible.

St Louis University – Billiken

What is this? A Billiken. What is a Billiken? God knows I should say. Probably its designer Florence Pretz knows it better. The University’s paper described it as a jovial creature with a broad smile with a rotund belly and a tuft of hair on it head. For me it is not jovial but fearful, like a vampire! What is your imagination?

University of California, Santa Cruz – Banana Slug

We are familiar with that yellow, slimy structure without a backbone. It’s been running around for decades. I should say nearly missed a sea lion, the university eve drew a sea lion but finally the student body voted for banana slug to be their mascot.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln – Lil’ Red

The word ‘lil’ literally means inflatable child or that is what Wikipedia tells us. I seriously do not know what made them choose this, what a child has anyway got to do with this. Keep Wondering!!!!

Don’t forget to add more to this list, let us all share smiles with you

- Keep Blogging..!!
