Hi, cool site, good writing
There is obviously a lot more to figure out about this issue, but you made some really good points. I will definitely be checking here more often. Thank you.
@ SoujaBoy81 @ Uttedevegilla thanks for your appreciating comments, do visit the site even more often.
Hie! I’ve been to the Sallie Mae website a couple of times & on the Signature Student Loan page it’s indicating that the loans are available for programs that begin on or before June 30th, 2009. What does this mean for some of us starting college in August?? Also, how has the credit crunch affected approval rates for International students seeking loans to study in the US? Info will be much appreciated. Thanks!
@ McVee : Best is you check with Sallie Mae site on your own. Leave a question to them on ‘contact us’ form with your valid email Id.
Credit crunch has affected our lives in many ways, but it also depend on who your lender is, sometime private lenders give you better interest rate to students than federal lenders, so make sure where you are taking loans from.
Thanks for this
Hey,
Anybody have any idea how long it will take Sallie Mae to issue study loans outside of US.
I am a international student who was studying in Australia but due to this recession i cant study anymore in Australia, i have to continue my studies in USA.
Any advices? Please
Bye
@ Maddy: Are you in Australia at the moment or back to your home town? In any case check with Sallie Mae website and lookout for the options that you have.
Secondly I would suggest check other loans and scholarships options as well like Fulbright Scholarship, Prestigious Scholarships and Fellowships etc. There are certain scholarships for overseas students only that you can look for, read more from: http://www.studentloaninfo.org/blog/scholarships-for-overseas-students/

@ Maddy: Thanks for writing again & I am glad my reply was helpful to you. Now as for your queries let me answer them the way you have asked.
Reply to 1. Check with Student Correspondence Adviser of Sallie Mae or write to them in detail though an email.
Reply to 2. Recession has no real affect on getting Student Loan as far as you have good credit score and you have enough balance to make repayments on time.
Hey feel free to write to me if you need to ask anything more. Take Care..!!
Newbie here, I wanted to advise you of the malwarebyte that is going around the net. This might be a bit off topic but hopefully it will help folks get that crappy spy ware off their PC. Thanks, Newbie

@ Maddy: Hi & thanks for your confidence in me.
Well I did some research for you, first you said you don’t want to study in US instead you want to study in Switzerland. Have you checked with colleges there or not? You mentioned cosigners, I checked with certain sites for International Students in Switzerland and they mentioned your cosigner has to be a US citizen too.
