This scholarship is better known as the Prince of Wales Innovation Scholarships at the University of Wales United Kingdom. This is a new scholarship program started with a whopping 11 million pounds.

About Prince of Wales Innovative Scholarship Program

- This innovative scholarship program is intends to grant scholarship assistance to 20 PhD Scholars with a stipend of 20,000 pounds.

- 2009 will be the scholarship program’s first year.

- The program has a part funding fro European Regional Development Fun

- The program also offers an one time research grant of 5,000 pounds to the scholars

- In addition to covering the entire tuition fees, the scholars chosen for the scholarship program are required to attend a specified set of residential courses covering personal, professional, cultural courses.

- The program is open to everyone across the world

- It is necessary for the applicants to have an outstanding academic background with a masters degree and relevant experience

- The candidates should be able to effectively communicate in English

- The selected candidates are required to pursue a full time PhD over a three year period.

- The candidates are also expected to take up research projects with best of innovative companies in Wales under the supervision of a group of Welsh Universities
